West Pier Traffic Signal Lights UPDATE

Mariners are advised that the West Pier Traffic Signal Lights in position 50 46.91N, 000 03.44E, are still not operating correctly due to a fault with the LED system.

The manufacturers are still looking into the problem, but in the meantime one of the green lights is operating with reduced intensity and the lower green light is intermittently extinguished.

Due to these problems, the traffic signal lights are to be treated as unreliable and all traffic is advised to call Newhaven Radio before entering and departing the Port.

Masters and others in charge of craft are warned to navigate with caution and pay strict attention to instructions issued to them by Newhaven Port Control.

Call sign “Newhaven Radio” – VHF Channel 12. Tel. 01273 612926.
